I'm sure that since the St. Michael prayer was dropped at the end of the Mass in the 60's, the number of entreaties to Heaven for his protection have dropped too. Oh, I know some have kept it, but it's use is pretty scarce compared to the old days.

I am happy to say that every Mass at St. Raymond of Penafort in Fairfax Station, VA as well as every daily Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, VA ends with the St. Michael prayer. Both of these are in the diocese of Arlington, VA
Ah, the Arlington Diocese, where some of the old ways are still good.
I end every Rosary with the St. Michael prayer as well.
The Blessed Margaret of Castello Chapter of Third Order Dominicans, Boise, Idaho, prays the St. Michael prayer after every Rosary. We keep St. Michael busy!
This is all good to hear. I know they do this at the Latin Mass at St. Alphonsus in Baltimore. That's the only place I've heard it. That, and the Latin Mass in my own diocese of Harrisburg, PA.
We say the prayer at the end of every family rosary, & when praying for the Pope's intentions. I have dual membership in two parishes - a Novus Ordo & TLM. They both say this prayer too. (The TLM is some distance, so I also go to a very conservative N.O.) That said, dear Saint Michael is probably not called upon enough by the Catholic community as a whole.
I have the pleasure of attending various parishes in the arlington diocese when I visit Steve.
I wish I lived there and could worship with some of my favorite bloggers.
Cannonball,
I used to live over in Alexandria, right down the road from Arlington. If he hasn't, make sure he takes you to Old Town one evening.
I don't know if it's still there, but the Fish Market was a great place to hang out.
We pray the St. Michael prayer after the daily Mass at St. Leo's in Fairfax and after TLM at St. Lawrence in Springfield. Both are in the Diocese of Arlington, Va.
Steve
I pray the St Michael prayer every day, at the end of the Rosary. If only the Church would require it to be said at Mass again.
Our parish (NO) priest has implemented the praying of the Hail Holy Queen and Saint Michael prayers after a short silence after communion and before the closing prayer.
The K of C put cards with both prayers in the pews, next to the missals.
Everyone in the parish prays it.
Peace be with you and may God bless you.
Holy Mary protect you.

All of this is really nice to hear about. It warms me old heart to know there are pockets of Catholicism amidst the idiocy out there!
Hey over the weekend, my husband and I traveled to Conneticiut to visit friends - we went to an absolutely beautiful parish called St. John the Evangelist in Stamford CT. Beautiful architecture, cassocks, altar BOYS, reverence, great Trad hymnals and hymns and my VERY first experience with the St Michael prayer after Mass. They did everything exactly right! Was a sight to behold!
As the congregation was filing out, lo and behold I saw Dr. Alice von Hildebrand there! I love her articles in the NOR and I've seen her so many times on EWTN. Was a privilege to see her there.
This parish evidentally says a weekly Tridentine, but last Sunday I attended the Novus Ordo, but was so beautifully done!
We desperately need more parishes like this one.
