I haven't done anything for a week, as I've been getting ready to leave Friday for a week in Ocean City, MD. Naturally, the kids and I will be at Holy Savior on 17th street for Mass on Sunday, the same place my father took us waaaaay back in the early 70's when we'd go on vacation. It's set up in cruciform style, with a raised altar & baldacchino. It's the only place I've been where behind the altar is another seating area at least 20 rows deep. Plenty of candles and a few statues. Everything a modernist would recoil at... hehehe

Have fun at the beach. Father Darcy at St. Ann's in Bethany beach *can* say the Latin Mass.

I'll keep that in mind, JMJ. I love it up in Bethany. Much quieter than in OC.
Thats exciting, my family will be in Ocean city next weekend, if you are still there you should let me buy you ice cream. That is also the church we have taken to when we go visit the inlaws out there.
Tee hee. Other than the seating behind the alter (which we do have at our cathedral) you just described our local church. I giggle thinking what a modernest may think about it.
I teach CCD to ages 4-6. I love to use the statuary, stained glass and Stations of the Cross to teach them, as they were ment to be used. It really gives them an image that will last throughout their lives.
God Bless!
Mr. Nichols,
I've been searching in vain for an e-mail address to contact you. Could you e-mail me at the address in my profile? Thanks,
Philip
Extended vacation, Paul? here it is August 12 and you're not back. Must be some place!!
Ha! I wish! I've been back a week, and still haven't gotten caught up at work enough to even peruse the internet for more ideas!
I'll be back in the saddle this week, though, for sure.
Mr. Nichols,
You didn't have any kind of e-mail link, but I have a suggestion for you:
Some NRLC people saying, "We'd like to end abortion, but that's not realistic right now."
Then they're standing at Judgement, and Jesus says, "I'd like to let you into Heaven, but that's not realistic right now."
Discovered you and your work via THE FOUR MARKS.
