The fight against Latin continues...

Some dioceses actually care about rebuilding Catholic identity. Some, like San Diego, look to erect more and more roadblocks to this restoration. Read all about San Diego's shenanigans over at Father Z's blog:

I attend a new Tridentine mass at St. Margaret's in Oceanside (Diocese of San Diego) at 6pm Sunday. We have Gregorian chant, and only reception on the tongue at that mass. I'm in that choir.

I think these articles against the Diocese of San Diego are over-critical.

Over-critical? I don't know. But it certainly appears like some of these dioceses are going overboard to ensure some sort of "super-compliance" with some very fine details.

Which wouldn't be an issue except for the fact that many of these same dioceses take a "hands-off" approach to liturgical wackiness.

I just found your site a few days ago and I am really enjoying it. I have it bookmarked.

I agree, I personally dont know if it is overly critical, but the fact is many diocese are hostile to the MP and are doing their best to stonewall any implementation.

Thanks Nick. Yes, many dioceses are jumping all over themselves to make sure the "implementation" is "by the book", which is laughable since in many of these same places they allow all sorts of liturgical abuses to flourish.
