Altered Ash Wednesday Prayers - you pick 'em!

A new set of Ash Wednesday recitations for those who just don't like the tired, old, standard "Remember, man...":
(This doesn't represent a complete list; all those with grievances/complaints/axes to grind can petition their local bishop to allow a recitation in keeping with their own worldview.)

What about the Latin?

Yeah! Don't forget: "It's better in Latin!"

Hey - in some dioceses, Latin just ain't allowed! Or, at the very least, you have to make your request in triplicate, and have each form signed off on by the local Justice of the Peace on the 5th Tuesday of a given month...

Meménto, homo, quia pulvis es, et in púlverem revertéris.

And the 'man' part does not bother me - I am secure in my Catholic femininity.

Good 'toon. I remember the 70's - wish i could forget...

Actually Homo means 'Human' or 'mortal' (viri means 'man'). And this is the only time in the year that Christians are addresses as MAN (not, say, dearly beloved or brethern).
