One second thought, think I'll skip the second collection
A Catholic Mom in Hawaii has a good post about the upcoming Second Collection this Sunday for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).
I'll be skipping it, but I'm still a little miffed that my diocese is still collecting for this organization. If I was in Baltimore, or maybe Los Angeles, it wouldn't surprise me. But Harrisburg? Sheesh.
They should change the name to the Catholic Campaign for Human Destruction. A little truth in advertising, maybe?

The CCHD will not be getting any of my money
But then again, since a certain % is levied on each parish, doesn't a small % of our money still go to them (and any number of other liberal causes)?
It's frustrating.
Actually, it was announced that this will be the last year for this collection in Harrisburg.
Hey, Anonymous, did they say why it would be the last?
Yes. The concerns about how the money is distributed and to keep more of the collection in-house for Diocesan projects
Good cartoon Paul! BTW, thanks for the mention. Happy Thanksgiving.
Are you saying homosexuality is bad?
I'm proud to say that the Diocese of Madison, WI did not do this last year, and is not planing on doing it in the future.
Deo Gratias!
