The First Cut is the Deepest - and probably not the last...

To me, Obama's assault with his HHS mandate regarding contraception is just part of the opening act of his attack on religious freedom here in the States. He knows that if he can make this pig fly, that will open the door to even more interference from Big Brother. If he can violate religious freedom under the guise of "public good", what's to stop him from forcing all churches to marry same-sex couples? Or make the Church admit women to the priesthood?

Thankfully, our Protestant brethren, especially the Southern Baptists, recognize this as not just an assault on the Catholics, but an assault on ALL Christians.

Bishops & Health Care "reform"

WASHINGTON (CNS) -- Though Bishop William F. Murphy of Rockville Centre, N.Y., concedes there's no political will in Washington to include illegal immigrants in health care reform, he believes it's the country's moral obligation to ensure that everyone in the nation receives proper medical care.

That includes those who enter the country illegally, he told Catholic News Service in mid-September.

The "big three" in the health care "reform" models are Abortion, Contraception, and Illegals. We don't want abortion funding. Well, tough, it'll be in there. We don't want contraception funding. Well, tough, it will be in there. We don't want illegals included. Well, tough, it will be in there.

The blind spot that the illegal cheerleader lobby has overlooked (willfully, I think), is that you won't be able to pick or choose from among the big three. By pushing for illegals to have access, the Bishops are aiding and abetting the expansion of abortion and contraception; Obama and the Democrats will not have a health care bill that doesn't include illegals, abortion, and contraception. That's the "big 3".

What the Bishops fail to realize is that by advocating a government takeover of health care, they're holding the door open for the very beast that will chew up Catholic healthcare and spit it out.

Let the Shakedown Begin!

Well, the class warfare will soon heat up, as Dear Leader will set his sights on those of us who work for a living, ensuring that we're working to provide even MORE welfare for those who'd rather live on the dole.

In the midwest they have tornado shelters - pretty soon the working stiffs of this country will need Obama Shelters.

Special thanks to all those "cultural catholics", especially those in my home state of Pennsylvania, who long ago traded in their Faith in favor of a Democrat controlled welfare/abortion state.

The only hope is that maybe, just maybe, as we move farther away from Vatican II and its' "Springtime Generation", the Catholic Vote will actually be (egads!) CATHOLIC.
